Little Miri Nakayama is a figure of the C9 universe and the youngest of the Nakayama house. She was found in a collapsed building, and she lost both legs in the collapse. Akio was forty-five when he found her, and she is the last person he brought home.
Rad Albert built her a mobility rig to her own measurements.
With Samantha
Miri's bond is with Samantha, who taught her two things. The first is that broken does not mean useless. The second is how to be dangerous without moving, which is Samantha's own discipline and the one she has never had to explain twice.
Miri became the one person Samantha trusts to watch her back completely.
In the record
Akio's part of it is short and is set down plainly: he carried her out. She was not his child then, and because she was not, he did not have to be certain in front of her, and could simply carry her without a posture to hold.
