WPU-3710 is a world that had dozens of species before the event, and a garrison that Leinder took after it.

He arrived following the temporal accident, offered the only available cure, and turned the hospital into a barracks. The cure is the Anchor Suits. The people wearing them cannot take them off, and he holds their life support, which is how he holds the army.

Its deep-pressure species have cardiovascular systems built for conditions that would be fatal elsewhere.
